Fifty years after the very first Earth Day - April 22, 1970 - Town Hall Seattle and PCC Farmland Trust present an evening, ‘Climate Change and Farmland: Building a Resilient Future for Washington.’ Featured speakers include Frances Moore Lappé her 1971 book, Diet for a Small Planet was all but a companion to the environmental movement of those times), Anna Lappé (a writer/activist in her own right), and a panel of local farmers who will talk about efforts to foster and build sustainable, resilient food practices hereabouts.KNKX environment reporter Bellamy Pailthorp will moderate.

Presented by Town Hall Seattle and PCC Farmland Trust, with a host of supporting organizations.
