Andrea Petersen, a Brooklyn based contributing writer at The Wall Street Journal covering psychology, health, and neuroscience, speaks tonight about her new book, On Edge: A Journey Through Anxiety (Crown), a subject that affects over 40 million Americans. A sufferer from an anxiety disorder since her 20s, Andrea Petersen investigates the role of genetics and environment in mental illness, the history of the treatment of anxiety and the ways in which anxiety has affected her career and personal relationships. Andrea Peterson is the recipient of a Rosalynn Carter Fellowship for Mental Health. She will appear in conversation with Seattle writer Elisabeth Eaves.
